| Radio Control your Digitrax system. |
| The new Digitrax Radio System was developed
specifically for the Digitrax Chief and Empire Builder starter sets. The system is
composed of two basic components, the DT-100R dual throttle and the UR-91 (Universal Radio
Receiver). As with all of the Digitrax products two major considerations were kept in
mind: |
The Radio System must be compatible with
existing systems.
The Radio System is 100% compatible with
both the Chief, Empire Builder and Big Boy Starter Sets.
The price must be cost effective.

| In an effort to keep the system cost
effective, the Radio System has been designed as a simplex system, this means that the
DT-100R only transmits to the UR-91 receiver. This enabled Digitrax to sell the system for
about 1/2 the cost of a full duplex system. |
| 98% of all the communications between the
two devices is from the DT-100R (Throttle) to the UR-91 (Receiver), this would include all
speed changes, function changes (turning lights on and off), direction changes and of the
selected train. |
| 2% of the communications are from your
booster to the throttle, these are when you acquire a locomotive (select a new address for
a throttle), or when you are creating a consist of locomotives (MU/ multiple unit
consist). When these operations are necessary the DT-100R must be plugged into LocoNet to
perform them. |
