| What is a DigiFrame Kit? |
| A DigiFrame Kit is a replacement kit that enables you to easily convert your existing locomotive to Digital Command Control. |
| Why do I need it? |
| When you buy a DigiFrame Kit you will be able to convert your locomotive quickly. You don't have to figure out how to get it apart, where to locate the decoder, how much material to cut away and how to wire it. You won't get half way through the decoder installation and find out you need another part, they're all included. All of the engineering and parts needed for the conversion have been put together in your DigiFrame Kit. |
| What's in it? |
| Each kit contains illustrated step by step instructions that guide you through disassembly, decoder installation, wiring, final assembly and testing of your locomotive. Also, items such as shrink tubing, new rear lamp and or resistors if required are included in the kit. So all in all you are NOT getting JUST a mysterious chunk of metal, but a complete conversion system. Another big advantage to a DigiFrame Kit is it's 20% heavier then your original frame even after room has been made for your Decoder. |
| How long will it take to convert my locomotive? |
| Plan on one evening to complete your first conversion, it's like anything else, the more locomotives you convert the better you become at conversions. Once you have converted a few locomotives you will probably be able to do a conversion in one or two hours. |
