Depending on the size of your railroad and
the quantity of locomotives you operate will determine how many Decoders you will need to
buy to convert your locomotives. Your decoders will probably the the largest expense
in your conversion to DCC. Fortunately with the Digitrax system you do NOT need to
convert all of your locomotives at once. We recommend converting your favorites
first, then as funds and time permit gradually convert your fleet over. Remember you
can still operate 1 unconverted locomotive on your railroad while you are making this
transition.
