How the tests were performed
This test was NOT done in a lab, rather it was performed on my home
layout
(This isn't rocket science).

Summary: All cars and locomotive rested on the 2%
grade and 20" Radii PECO code 55 track. Power was applied slowly to allow the
locomotive to apply maximum pulling power with out slipping. This process was performed on
each locomotive when it was new, rite out of the box.
Then the original locomotive frame was machined to accept a Digitrax® decoder,
reassembled and tested.
The final process was to replace the machined frame with a Digi-Frame© and
again perform the same test.
You can review the results above. You will notice most of the Life Like® will
pull fewer cars, this is because the original weight is made of pure Lead. |
